Privacy Policy

Overview

Resizia (“the app”) is developed by PENGYAO to resize images and compress file sizes on your device. The app is free and has no in-app purchases or ads. The app does not collect, store, upload, sell or share any personal data.

Data the app handles

• Images you choose: they are read and processed only on your device. Results are kept in the app’s temporary folder and are never uploaded to any server.
• App settings: appearance, Night mode, interface language, Elder mode, your remembered processing settings including the crop ratio, and “My modes” (up to 20, with the names you give them and their settings) are stored only on your device (UserDefaults). They never contain photos.
• Smart crop: when Smart crop is on, the app uses Apple’s Vision framework on your device to find faces or the main subject, only to place the crop frame. Detection works offline; results are not stored, uploaded or used to identify anyone.
• Photo info (EXIF / location): photos often contain hidden data such as GPS location, device model and capture time. “Remove photo info (location, etc.)” is on by default, and then output images contain none of it. If you turn it off, the original capture info and location are kept in the output. This happens entirely on your device; we never see or receive this data.
• Share extension: when you share images to Resizia from Photos or another app, the extension copies them (up to 9) into the app’s on-device shared container (App Group). When you open the app, they are moved into its temporary folder and deleted from the container. When you use “Open in” from Files or a chat app, the system copies the file into the app’s sandbox, and the copy is deleted after import. No network is used.

What we do not do

• No accounts or sign-in, and no personal information is requested;
• No analytics, advertising or third-party SDKs;
• No tracking and no use of the advertising identifier (IDFA);
• The app’s features work offline; no data is sent to us or to any third party.

Permissions

• Photos (Add Only): requested only when you tap “Save to Photos”, to add the result to your Photos library. The app cannot read the photos already in your library.
• Choosing images: the app uses the system photo picker, the Files app or the share extension, and can access only the images you select (up to 9 for batch processing), without full library access.

You can change or revoke this permission at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Photos.

Data retention and deletion

No data is kept on any server. Temporary files on your device are managed by the system; deleting the app removes all of its local data, including settings.

Third parties

No data is shared with third parties. When you choose to Share an image, it is handed to the app you pick, whose own privacy policy applies. If you email us, your address is used only to reply to you.

Children

The app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
